The Place to Live, Work and Play

Nestled at the base of the Niagara Escarpment, Milton provides easy access for both day and weekend excursions in a scenic setting -- all within an hour's drive from Toronto.  This distinct community offers small town living with a metropolitan flair.

Milton's come a long way since Jasper and Sarah Martin built the grist mill on Sixteen Mile Creek around which the community was based in 1821. This mill was quickly followed by a mill pond, a saw mill, an ashery and a small store as Jasper's business expanded. The community of approximately sixty people was known as "Martin's Mills" throughout Trafalgar.

The community now, with approximatly 65,000 residents, is slated to grow to approximatley 145,000 by 2021.  Milton hosts a wide variety of parks, trails, lakes, conservation areas and outdoor year-round activities to choose from.  Explore local fresh fruit and vegtables at Milton's Farmer's Market or enjoy many of Milton's ecarpment attractions.

Whether you are a visitor to Milton or looking to relocate, Milton is the ideal place to work, live and play!
